Real World Tips For Starting Your Blog

Category: Blogging For Starters

Creating a blog requires twenty to fifty times more energy the first few months versus the energy it requires to maintain the blog. Its crucial to keep the search engine bots busy crawling your blog's content. They will spider your homepage 80-90% of the time. MSN has one of the busiest bots. If you have obsessive compulsive disorder, it will be handy in this case. Rewrite your home page every day for the first month or so until you start achieving rankings. Keep the focus of the home page the same. Just keep tweaking the content.

Chunk it. When you start your first web blog project, focus on learning and applying one concept at a time. Don't sit there and read through page after page of blog tutorials. Learn one thing at a time and immediately apply it. If you can't apply it immediately, write it down immediately. That will at least start to committ you to apply it later. Make a note on your task list.

Most people give up on search engine optimization because it takes too long. Its tough to keep applying learning when you haven't seen the results from it. It takes a lot of faith. And on top of that, there's other strategies that don't work and people will still advocate them for selfish reasons.
