Drew Interviews Krissy On Working From Home As a Blogger While Freelance Creative Writing

Drew: How do you stay motivated to keep working from home when no one is around?

Krissy: by keeping the end result in mind. My passion for what I do also drives me.

Drew: Do you have any specific tips for bloggers having trouble following through? I mean there are a lot of abandonded blogs out there.

Krissy: Change your environment. Blog outside on your laptop in the park. Blog at Starbucks. Its so easy to get writers block. Changing it up helps get the creative juices going.

Drew: That's great advice. What other challenges have been big when working from home?

Krissy:  well, I have a daughter. so making the time to work yet care for her as well.

Drew: Do you find having a kid can motivate or inspire you to blog more and work from home? How do you separate personal from work when working from home?

Krissy: Having a child actually motivates you more to blog! I would much rather work towards having my own home business where I can see her often instead of someone else raising her while I go to a job. Seperating personal from work is one thing I am learning how to do! Any suggestions?

Drew: Sure. We have a rule that says no watching television at certain times. There's been times when our sales person was interupted with the television in the background. You also need to set appointments for business. And it helps to let a person know when you want to talk business before just jumping into it.

Krissy: On the other hand, having a small child is a full time job. So in the spare moments you have, you really just want to relax. That is why its so important to think about the end result- that will motivate you to use your time to blog. And why its also important to pick a blogging topic you're passionate about- so it will be fun instead of being a chore.

Those are great suggestions! I'm going to try them.

Drew: Is there anything you want to tell the other bloggers out there?

Krissy: Blogging is a great way to share your insight with the world. It isn't boring because they're are so many different levels to learn. It is a perfect way to promote your current business.

Drew: Great stuff. Maybe next time, you can interview me on the challenges I had when I first started working from home as freelancer on Elance.com
