Hosting A Blog

Category: Blog Hosting

Drawback of Free Hosted Blog Platforms

I don't like using free blog hosts like blogger.com to build my long term sites. Number one reason is I don't have control over the blog. The service provider has the power to shut down your blog. I also like to make a ton of custom tweaks to my blogs. I can't do that on free blog services.

Drawback Of Cheap Hosting For A Blog

I get pretty tired of answering some of the same questions. One question is "what do you mean, you won't work on my website hosted at Go Daddy." Yes, I receive the same people over and over asking me to setup their blog/website on Go Daddy. Go Daddy is great at marketing. They are not great at hosting. You really get what you pay for. If you think you are going to host a reliable blog on a $4 dollar server, think again. I won't even touch Go Daddy servers. I've tried their dedicated service. It's awful. It's the slowest server you can get. If you want to embed social media and video, it just won't work. Using a cheap web host is even worse than using a free blog service like Blogger.com

Package Blog Hosting

Try finding a package deal where you get hosting and a turn key blog service. We developed one at Buzzy Bee that provides a complete hosting account with a supported blog platform. And trust me, we aren't using cheap $4 per month hosting solutions.
