Written On 2009 Sun Dec 20Generate Traffic With Blog LeverageCategory: Blogging For StartersA Blog Is A Form Of LeverageA blog in itself is a form of leverage. One tool helps you communicate with multitudes of people. You can write one post and communicate with 1000 people. A search engine is a form of leverage. Adwords is a form of leverage. How do you build a successful blog? Simple, leverage! However, not all leverage is made equal. And this is where a lot of new blog-preneurs run into timing challenges. Not all traffic is made equal. Organic search engine traffic is the most expensive in regards to time. So if you are starting out and have a lot of time, you can put sweat equity or keystroke equity into that area. Pay per click is expensive in regards to your wallet. Adwords used to be more profitable when clicks cost 5 to 10 cents. Now, most niches are not profitable. Most new internet marketers approach paid traffic with the wrong mindset. They try and leverage PPC by selling a one time product or service. This is a very bad form of leverage especially since it is so expensive. As a blogger, you are starting out on the right foot. You can use paid traffic just as long as you are using it to build a network of readers who keep returning to your site. You need to capture a name, email, phone etc... right away. It will cost. So figure out how much you can spend to obtain one new reader. Keep track of your conversion sign ups and your end conversions. When using this approach, be sure to have your offers ready.
